The database holds 25 enclosed desktop 3D printers now shipping. Their US launch prices run from $299.99 for the Elegoo Centauri Carbon to $3,799 for the Bambu Lab H2D Pro, and the table lists every one, cheapest launch price first.

The Enclosure column separates two kinds. “Enclosed (passive)” means walls, a door and a lid, with the chamber warmed only by the heated bed and hotend. “Actively heated chamber” means the printer also has its own chamber heater. Thirteen of the 25 are passive, and twelve have the heater.

Prices are US launch prices for the base configuration. A dash means the maker publishes no figure.

Which 3D printers are enclosed?

Twenty-five shipping 3D printers in the database are enclosed, from ten brands. Thirteen have a passive enclosure, warmed only by the bed and hotend. Twelve add an actively heated chamber. All 25 are FDM (fused deposition modeling) printers that level the bed automatically, and 23 use CoreXY motion, where the bed only moves down.

Two are not CoreXY. The FLSUN S1 Pro is a delta with a round 320 mm bed, and the Snapmaker Artisan is a bedslinger, whose bed moves front to back. The enclosed CoreXY list shows the other 23 on their own.

Where the 25 differ:

Which filaments need the enclosure is covered in materials that need an enclosure. For ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), see the 3D printers for ABS list.

Nine discontinued enclosed models, among them the Bambu Lab X1-Carbon and QIDI Plus4, are left out of the table but keep their own spec pages.

How much does an enclosed 3D printer cost?

An enclosed 3D printer costs $299.99 to $3,799 at launch, judging by the 25 shipping enclosed printers in the database. The median is $899. Passive enclosures launched at $299.99 to $2,999, with a median of $549. Printers with an actively heated chamber launched at $499 to $3,799, with a median of $1,049.

By launch price:

  • $300 or less (1): the Elegoo Centauri Carbon, $299.99.
  • $300 to $500 (4): the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 and QIDI Q2C at $399, then the QIDI Q2 and Sovol Zero at $499. The Q2 is the cheapest printer here with an actively heated chamber.
  • $500 to $1,000 (10): from the Anycubic Kobra S1, Bambu Lab P2S and Creality K2 at $549 to the Flashforge Creator 5 Pro at $949.
  • $1,000 to $2,000 (7): from the FLSUN S1 Pro at $1,099 to the Prusa CORE One L+ at $1,999.
  • Over $2,000 (3): the Bambu Lab H2C at $2,399, the Snapmaker Artisan at $2,999 and the Bambu Lab H2D Pro at $3,799. The Artisan ships with laser and CNC (computer numerical control) modules, and the H2D Pro with an AMS 2 Pro and an AMS HT filament unit.

Eight launched at $549 or less, and the enclosed printers under $600 list shows them alone. For beds of 300 mm and more, see large enclosed 3D printers.

Which brands make enclosed 3D printers?

Ten brands make the 25 shipping enclosed printers in the database. Bambu Lab makes seven. Creality and QIDI make four each, and Anycubic, Elegoo and Prusa Research two each. Flashforge, FLSUN, Snapmaker and Sovol make one each. Five of the ten sell a model with an actively heated chamber: Bambu Lab, Creality, QIDI, Anycubic and Flashforge.

What is the newest enclosed 3D printer?

The newest enclosed printers in the database are the QIDI Plus5 and Prusa Research’s CORE One+ (Gen 2) and CORE One L+, all released in August 2026. QIDI launched the Plus5, which has a 65 °C heated chamber, on August 5 at $749. Prusa announced both CORE One models on August 13, at $1,299 and $1,999.

Before them came the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max and the Flashforge Creator 5 Pro in May 2026, both with 65 °C heated chambers, and the Bambu Lab X2D in April 2026 at $649. The new 3D printers of 2026 list adds the open-frame releases.

Two more enclosed printers are announced but not yet shipping in the database: the Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) INDX and the Prusa CORE One L+ INDX, both from August 2026. Each adds a built-in INDX tool changer with four or eight tools. Prusa prices both in euros only, so neither has a US launch price. Both appear in upcoming 3D printers.
