The cheapest budget 3D printer with an enclosure is the Elegoo Centauri Carbon, launched at $299.99. Eight shipping enclosed printers in the database launched at $600 or less, all of them CoreXY (the bed moves only down). Only the $499 QIDI Q2 has an actively heated chamber.

The table lists the eight cheapest first, by US launch price for the base configuration without a multi-material unit. A dash means the maker publishes no figure. The enclosed 3D printers list covers all 25 shipping enclosed printers at every price.

How do enclosed 3D printers under $600 compare?

Eight shipping enclosed printers launched at $600 or less, from $299.99 to $549, and all eight are CoreXY. The QIDI Q2 alone has an actively heated chamber, rated 65 °C. Hotends reach 300 to 370 °C and beds 100 to 120 °C. Filtration runs from none to HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) with activated carbon.

Where they differ:

  • Chamber: apart from the Q2, only the Bambu Lab P2S publishes a chamber figure: 50 °C, with no heater. The other six list none.
  • Filtration fitted as standard: HEPA and activated carbon on the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 and the Q2, which adds a pre-filter. Activated carbon only on the Sovol Zero, Anycubic Kobra S1 and P2S. The QIDI Q2C has none; QIDI sells its filter as an option. The Centauri Carbon and Creality K2 list an air filter, but neither names carbon or HEPA, so their filtration cell shows a dash.
  • Temperatures: the P2S and K2 hotends stop at 300 °C; the Q2 and Q2C reach 370 °C. The K2’s bed stops at 100 °C; the Q2, Q2C, Sovol Zero and Kobra S1 reach 120 °C.
  • Build volume: seven of the eight measure 250 to 270 mm on X and Y, up to 270 × 270 × 256 mm on the two QIDI models. The Sovol Zero measures 152.4 × 152.4 × 152.5 mm.

The next enclosed printer above $600 is the Bambu Lab X2D, launched at $649 with a 65 °C heated chamber and two nozzles.

What is the cheapest enclosed 3D printer?

The Elegoo Centauri Carbon is the cheapest enclosed 3D printer in the database, launched at $299.99. It is a CoreXY with a 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume, a 320 °C hotend and a 110 °C bed. The enclosure is passive, with no chamber heater. No enclosed printer launched under $200.

At $200 or less, the database holds one shipping printer, the open-frame Creality Ender-3 V3 SE at $199. After the Centauri Carbon, the next enclosed launch price is $399, shared by the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 and the QIDI Q2C.

Store prices move after launch. QIDI’s US store listed the Q2C at $349 on October 28, 2026, $50 under its launch price. Check current prices to find the cheapest on a given day.

Which enclosed 3D printers cost under $500?

Five shipping enclosed printers launched under $500. Under $300 there is one, the Elegoo Centauri Carbon at $299.99. Under $400, add the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 and the QIDI Q2C, both $399. Under $500, add the QIDI Q2 and the Sovol Zero, both $499. Only the Q2 has a heated chamber.

The Q2 launched $100 above the Q2C and shares its 270 × 270 × 256 mm build volume, 370 °C hotend and 120 °C bed. It adds the 65 °C chamber heater and a filter combining a pre-filter, HEPA and carbon. The Sovol Zero fits a carbon filter and a 350 °C hotend into the smallest build volume on this list.

Three more at $549 take the list to $600: the Anycubic Kobra S1, Bambu Lab P2S and Creality K2. The 3D printers under $500 list adds the open-frame models at the same prices.

What is the cheapest enclosed printer for ABS?

The Elegoo Centauri Carbon, at $299.99, is the cheapest enclosed printer for ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) in the database. Prusa Research and Bambu Lab both call for an enclosure and a bed of about 100 °C. The Centauri Carbon’s bed reaches 110 °C, and every bed on this list hits at least 100 °C.

The filament makers’ ABS figures: Prusa Research recommends a 255 °C nozzle and a 100 °C bed. Bambu Lab lists a 240 to 280 °C nozzle and a 90 to 100 °C bed. Every hotend here reaches 300 °C or more.

ASA (acrylonitrile styrene acrylate) needs a hotter bed by Prusa’s figures: 105 °C for the first layer and 110 °C for the rest. Seven of the eight reach 110 °C. The Creality K2 stops at 100 °C, the top of Bambu Lab’s 90 to 100 °C range for ASA.

The 3D printers for ABS and ASA list covers every enclosed printer with a 100 °C bed at any price. The filtration guide explains what carbon and HEPA filters each remove.

Do any budget printers come fully enclosed?

Yes. Three printers that launched at $400 or less ship enclosed: the Elegoo Centauri Carbon ($299.99), the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 ($399) and the QIDI Q2C ($399). All three are CoreXY with a passive enclosure, warmed only by the bed and hotend. The cheapest with a chamber heater is the $499 QIDI Q2.

Of the three, only the Centauri Carbon 2 fits HEPA and carbon filters as standard. The Q2C has the highest limits: a 370 °C hotend and a 120 °C bed. The Centauri Carbon 2 reaches 350 °C and 110 °C, the Centauri Carbon 320 °C and 110 °C.

Where do the figures come from?

Each row comes from that printer’s record, which cites the maker’s spec page and carries a last-verified date. A printer counts as actively heated only when its maker lists a chamber heater. Only shipping printers are listed. That leaves out the discontinued QIDI Q1 Pro, launched at $599 with a 60 °C heated chamber.
