What the site covers
Consumer and prosumer desktop FDM printers. Every printer gets the same spec sheet: motion system, build volume, enclosure, hotend, bed and chamber temperatures, claimed speed and flow, stock nozzle, firmware, connectivity, release date and launch price. Comparisons, spec lists and guides are built from those same records.
What it will not publish
- Rankings, awards or "best printer" lists. The site states specifications and differences, not verdicts.
- Paid placements. A manufacturer cannot pay to be listed, to be listed differently, or to be left out.
- Rumors. A printer enters the database when its manufacturer publishes specifications.
How it is funded
The site carries no advertising, affiliate links or sponsored content.
Who writes it
The Desktop 3D Printers editors compile the records and write the guides. Every figure cites the manufacturer page, spec sheet or launch coverage it came from, and every printer page shows when it was last checked. Themethodology explains how, and the corrections page logs what has changed.
