Upcoming 3D printers: announced models and their specs

These are the 3D printers their makers have announced but not yet shipped, with the specs each maker has published. Figures sometimes change before shipping, so every row links to a spec sheet with its sources and last-verified date.

Which 3D printers have been announced but not yet released?

Six announced printers were awaiting first shipments at the last check. They are the Creality K3, Creality SPARKX i8, Creality Ender-3 V3 Mega, Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) INDX, Prusa CORE One L+ INDX and Sovol M1D. Four of the six have more than one toolhead or nozzle.

What upcoming CoreXY printers have been announced?

Three announced printers are CoreXY machines: the Creality K3 and the two Prusa INDX printers. In a CoreXY printer the toolhead moves in X and Y and the bed only moves down. The K3, shown at IFA 2026 in Berlin, changes between up to four nozzles.

The Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) INDX and CORE One L+ INDX are enclosed printers with the Bondtech INDX tool changer and 4 or 8 tools.

The other three use different layouts. The SPARKX i8 and Ender-3 V3 Mega are bedslingers, where the bed moves front to back. The Sovol M1D is an independent dual extruder (IDEX) printer that pairs a fixed toolhead with six swappable ones. The motion systems guide explains how the layouts differ.

When will the announced printers ship?

Prusa alone has published ship dates. Its product pages say the CORE One+ (Gen 2) INDX starts shipping on 15 October and the CORE One L+ INDX on 5 November. For the K3, Creality’s campaign page says only “coming Q3 2026”, and its IFA 2026 announcement gave no date. The Ender-3 V3 Mega has no US date either.

The SPARKX i8 is sold through a crowdfunding campaign, and 3DPrint.com reports backer delivery in November 2026.

Why do some announced printers have no launch price?

A dash in the launch price column means the maker had not published a US dollar price when the record was last checked. Creality has not priced the K3 or the Ender-3 V3 Mega in US dollars. Prusa’s INDX product pages listed euro prices only. The column is filled in from the maker’s own figure once one appears.

What counts as an announced printer?

A printer counts as announced once its maker shows it on a product page, in a press release or at a trade show. Rumors, leaks and regulatory filings are left out, even when they name a model or a price.

When the first customer units ship, the printer’s status changes to shipping, its release month is added and it leaves this table. It stays in the comparison chart, which lists every printer in the database.
