3D printer combo prices: what the multicolor bundle adds

A 3D printer combo, the printer sold with a four-spool multicolor unit, launched at $379 to $2,199 in the US. That range covers the 26 shipping printers in the database sold both alone and as a combo. The combo added $50 to $300 to the printer-only launch price, a median of $170 (a median 33% of the printer price).

The table lists US launch prices from each maker’s announcement, its store page at launch (through the Wayback Machine) or launch-day press. “Combo adds” is the combo price minus the printer-only price.

Some makers first sold the printer alone below the list price recorded here. Creality’s US store sold the Hi alone at $369 when it became available on 11 March 2025, and the K2 SE at $279 from January 2026. Elegoo’s US store listed the Centauri Carbon 2 at $349 in June 2026.

How much does a 3D printer combo cost?

A 3D printer combo launched at $379 to $2,199 in the US, across the 26 shipping printers in the database sold both alone and with a multicolor unit. Half launched at $699 or less. The cheapest is the Elegoo Centauri 2 Combo at $379, and the most expensive the Bambu Lab H2D AMS Combo at $2,199.

Six combos launched at $500 or less, 14 between $500 and $1,000, and six above $1,000.

Three printers are sold only with their multicolor unit, so their launch price is a combo price:

• Creality Ender-3 V4: $399 with one CFS
• Bambu Lab H2C: $2,399 with an AMS 2 Pro
• Bambu Lab H2D Pro: $3,799 with an AMS 2 Pro and an AMS HT

The Creality SPARKX i7 went on pre-order in January 2026 as the i7 Color Combo, with a CFS Lite, at $399. The discontinued Bambu Lab X1-Carbon launched in 2022 at $1,199 alone and $1,449 with the original AMS.

How much does the combo add to the printer price?

A combo added $50 to $300 to the printer-only launch price across the 26 bundles, a median of $170. As a share of the printer price, that is 13% to 67%, with a median of 33%. Six combos added exactly $150, and Bambu Lab’s AMS and AMS 2 Pro combos added $250, or $300 on the H2D.

Buying the unit later cost more at launch prices. In these four cases the combo cost $78 to $169 less than the printer and unit bought separately.

How much is a 3D printer with color?

At launch prices, a 3D printer that prints in color starts at $379: the Elegoo Centauri 2 Combo. The Anycubic Kobra X and Creality Ender-3 V4 include a four-color system in a $399 launch price. Printers with four separate toolheads start at $799, and the Bambu Lab H2C with its AMS 2 Pro launched at $2,399.

The Anycubic Kobra X carries a four-color ACE Gen 2 system in its printhead; its Combo adds an ACE 2 Pro for seven colors at a $599 regular price. The Flashforge Creator 5 ($799), Flashforge Creator 5 Pro ($949) and Snapmaker U1 ($999) carry four toolheads, one per color. The cheapest multicolor 3D printers list sorts every multicolor-capable printer by launch price.

What is the cheapest 3D printer combo?

The cheapest 3D printer combo at launch is the Elegoo Centauri 2 Combo at $379: an open-frame CoreXY printer with Elegoo’s four-spool CANVAS unit. Next came the Centauri Carbon 2 Combo at $449 and the Bambu Lab A1 mini Combo at $459. Store sales have since taken three combos to $299 to $329.

On 27 October 2026, the makers’ US stores listed the Bambu Lab A1 mini Combo at $299 (regular $329), the Anycubic Kobra 4 Combo at $299 (regular $499) and the Elegoo Centauri 2 Combo at $329 (regular $379). Sale prices change week to week; holiday cuts by maker are in 3D printer Black Friday prices.

How much are the Bambu Lab A1 mini, A1 and P1S Combos?

The Bambu Lab A1 mini Combo launched at $459 and the A1 Combo at $559, each with a four-spool AMS lite. The P1S Combo launched at $949 with the original AMS. On 27 October 2026, Bambu Lab’s US store listed them at $329, $399 and $549, with sale prices of $299, $359 and $479.

The printers alone listed at $219, $299 and $399 that day, so at list prices the combo added $110, $100 and $150. The store also sold a P1S AMS 2 Pro Combo at $579, or $509 on sale.

How much are the Creality K2, K2 Pro, K2 Plus and Hi Combos?

At launch the Creality K2 Combo cost $699, the K2 Pro Combo $1,049, the K2 Plus Combo $1,499 and the Hi Combo $519, each with one four-spool CFS. That is $130 to $200 more than each printer alone. Creality has since raised two list prices: the Hi Combo’s to $599 and the K2 Pro Combo’s to $1,099.

On 27 October 2026, Creality’s US store had the K2 Combo on sale at $521, the K2 Pro Combo at $799, the K2 Plus Combo at $1,199 (list $1,499) and the Hi Combo at $449.

How much are the Anycubic Kobra 3 and Kobra S1 Combos?

The Anycubic Kobra 3 Combo launched at a $549 regular price in June 2024, and the Kobra S1 Combo at $749 in January 2025, each with a four-spool ACE Pro. Both opened in early-bird sales at $449 and $549. By April 2025 Anycubic had raised the Kobra S1 Combo’s regular price to $829.

Every Anycubic combo in the table opened below its regular price, by $100 to $400.

On 27 October 2026, Anycubic’s US store listed the Kobra 3, Kobra 3 V2 and Kobra 3 Max under End of Life. The Kobra S1 Combo now ships with the newer ACE 2 Pro: $599 regular, $429 on sale.
