Nineteen shipping 3D printers in the database launched at $400 or less, from the Creality Ender-3 V3 SE at $199 to five models at $399. The table lists them cheapest first, with the hotend limit that decides which filaments each one can melt. Prices are US launch prices for the printer alone.

All 19 level the bed automatically. The eight that launched at $300 or less are in the 3D printers under $300 list. This page adds 11 more between $349 and $399.

What 3D printers are under $400?

Nineteen shipping printers launched at $400 or less. Besides the eight under $300, they are the Anycubic Kobra 3 V2 and Sovol SV06 Plus ACE ($349), Anycubic Kobra 3 ($369), Anycubic Kobra 4 ($379), Creality Hi and Ender-3 V3 ($389), and five at $399: QIDI Q2C, Anycubic Kobra X, Creality Ender-3 V4, Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 and Bambu Lab A1.

The 11 printers between $349 and $399:

Fourteen of the 19 are bedslingers (the bed moves front to back). The other five are CoreXY (the bed moves only down): the Centauri 2, K2 SE, Centauri Carbon, Q2C and Centauri Carbon 2.

Six claim 600 mm/s, the highest top speed under $400: four Anycubic Kobra models, the Creality Ender-3 V3 and the QIDI Q2C.

Which 3D printers under $400 are enclosed?

Three printers under $400 are enclosed: the Elegoo Centauri Carbon ($299.99) and two at $399, the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 and the QIDI Q2C. All three are CoreXY, and none has a chamber heater. Only the Centauri Carbon 2’s record lists HEPA and carbon filters as standard. QIDI sells the Q2C’s air filter as an option.

The Q2C has the highest hotend limit of the three at 370 °C, against 350 °C on the Centauri Carbon 2 and 320 °C on the Centauri Carbon. The cheapest printer in the database with an actively heated chamber is the QIDI Q2 at $499, in the 3D printers under $1,000 list.

Which 3D printers under $400 come with a multicolor system?

Two printers include a multicolor system in their $399 launch price. The Anycubic Kobra X has a four-spool ACE Gen 2 built into the printhead. The Creality Ender-3 V4 is sold only as a combo with one Creality CFS unit. One bundle also fits under $400: the Elegoo Centauri 2 Combo at $379.

Ten more take a unit sold separately: the A1 mini and A1 (AMS lite), the K2 SE and Hi (Creality CFS), the Centauri 2 and Centauri Carbon 2 (Elegoo CANVAS), three Anycubic Kobra models (ACE Pro or ACE 2 Pro) and the Q2C (QIDI Box). The A1 Combo with an AMS lite launched at $559.

The announced Creality SPARKX i8 lists a built-in four-channel toolhead and an MSRP of $399. It has not shipped, so the table leaves it out. The cheapest multicolor printers list sorts every multicolor-capable printer by price.
